Fuji WCL-X100 and Ricoh GR | Calogero Randazzo

By | January 11, 2015

I received many emails about comparing my Ricoh GR with my Fuji X100 + WCL-X100 wide-angle converter mounted. The converter turns the 35mm Fuji lens equivalent to approximately 28mm, like Ricoh´s fixed lens. I was curious myself so I had the converter for 30 minutes and went out to take some snaps. Unfortunatly it was a heavily overcasted day. I shot in RAW, ISO 400, f/4, converted in LR 4.4 in black and white, applied very little sharpness with same settings. Ricoh GR weights only 245g including battery, the Fuji X100 with the converter mounted 574g. Although the WCL-X100 adds 129g the camera feels balanced and densed. It does not make the X100 front-heavy. You can read more about comparing the WCL-X100 wide-angle converter, and TCL-X100 teleconverter to the 18mm f/2, and 35mm f/1.4……
