Giant Stinging Tree Russell Johnson has published a new stock image: Giant Stinging Tree.
Dendrocnide Excelsa. The Giant Stinging Tree is found in rain forest areas on the eastern seaboard of Australia in New South Wales and S.E. Queensland. It is a source of food for insects and birds but is inhospitable to larger animals as it leaves fine hair like stings from all exposed areas of the plant in the skin on contact.
