Tawny Frogmouth Sleeping Neil Mcallister has published a new stock image: Tawny Frogmouth Sleeping.
While similar in appearance, the Tawny Frogmouth is not an Owl. The mayor difference between them is that Owls catch prey with their strong talons like Hawks and Eagles whereas the Tawny has quite weak claws and relies on its beak. They are masters of camouflage, usually sitting perfectly still in trees during the day. This new mum and chick have taken up residence in our rock garden.
