Cattle are important animals on New Zealand farms, whether a small herd of mixed types, as these curious young steers are from; or large herds of dairy or beef industries which are important for the New Zealand income.
Cattle are sometimes called Bovines, because of the latin name for their genus subgroup, which is bovinae.
There are about ten million cattle in NZ, including both beef and dairy
