Vintage Railway Infrastruture Australia Russell Johnson has published a new stock image: Vintage Railway Infrastruture Australia.
This disused bridge spans Tenterfield Ck in Northern New South Wales, and once proudly carried passenger and freight services en-route to and from the Queensland border. The Great Northern Railway was extended from Glenn Innes to Wallangarra from 1883 – 89. This bridge was part of that extension. Since cessation of services time hasn't been kind to the structure with the superstructure showing signs of distress. But while it remains it speaks proudly of the romance of rail from a bygone
